About The Ahmic Club
In 2022 Bill Stewart was asked to work his magic and bring the Ahmic Lake Golf Club property back to its former glory. Applying his 40+ years as a CPGA Golf Pro and his previous course rehab experience he got to work.
A Project like No Other
Starting on a 5 year rehabilitation plan, the greens for all 9 holes were completely ripped up, sanded, graded and planted with premium bent grass, which is the first time this course has seen real bent grass greens. As we move through the timeline, we will have professionally cut hardened greens for great putting.
The fairways were all recovered from an extreme over growth and the grounds evened out for flat fairways which are still relatively wide and rolling. Over the years we are looking to over-seed with bent grass.

FAQs
What is your timeline for completing the rehabilitation?
Although the course will always be improving and evolving. We currently have a 5 year plan starting in 2022 to complete the rehab. Projects like over seeding of the fairways and a new permanent Club House will take more time.
What happened to the old Club House?
Due to the old stone foundation and issues with frost penetration, the Klondike House was condemned for public use as it was deemed unsafe. It was under direction of the Municipality that we had to bring it down. In that process wood work, doors and keep sakes were recovered and are in storage so they can be integrated into the future build.
What is your dress code?
We’re in cottage country, as long as you’re comfortable.
Can I bring my own alcoholic beverages?
As we have a liquor license course designation we can not allow guests to bring their own alcohol anywhere on the property. Only alcohol sold through the Proshop can be consumed in designated areas. Designated areas are everywhere except the parking lot and docks.
